Science Harvest

The Department of Geosciences at University of Cincinnati is excited to partner with PEWS for a science outreach program, Science Harvest, at the Northside Farmer’s Market in Cincinnati. This program strives to share science with local communities through two-way conversations about science and hands-on science activities. Graduate students from the department bring hands-on activities and demonstrations to share with people of all ages who visit the market. Topics have included lake sediment coring, melting glaciers, and local Cincinnati fossils. Science Harvest launched in October 2022 with PEWS Postdoctoral Fellow and recent UC Geosciences graduate, Meg Corcoran, leading this public engagement with science initiative.

This program runs every month on the third Wednesday of the month.

The Northside Farmer’s Market is every Wednesday from 4 to 7pm, outdoors behind Life In Balance (formerly North Church) at 4222 Hamilton Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45223.
