The Physics + Dance Lab, an initiative led by UC engineering professor Sarah Watzman in collaboration with the Black Box Dance Theater, was recently featured in UC News. This project works with high school students and undergraduates to investigate how dance might be used as a means of understanding and exploring physics concepts.
PEWS Curriculum and Pedagogy Director Melissa Jacquart is involved in the evaluative portion of the project, which will determine whether and how dance can serve as a tool in teaching scientific concepts. PEWS is proud to partner on projects that explore innovative forms of science education and communication.
